We arrive in Barcelona and check into the Hotel Rialto, Fernando 40 y 42. The hotel is still there and still cheap at $55-65/night.
We had breakfast and went to bed. Apparently there were six people in our train compartment and we had a 'terrible night'.
On the upside, we only spent $1.21. If you want to actually find out anything about Barcelona, you will have to wait a day.
Wow, interesting to hear about the hotel still being inexpensive. Do you remember much of it? Was it a nice one compared to the other ones you stayed on during your trip?

Not a clue. I remember London, Florence, and Athens. The rest is fog.
DeleteYou tease! Sleep well, see you tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteClick to visit Keith's Ramblings!
Look who's talking with his surprise ending stories.
DeleteThis might be your cheapest day! That sucks that you had a terrible night which makes it tough. Looking forward to Barcelona and Gaudi.
ReplyDeleteNever visited Gaudi's cathedral, but I will post a picture.
DeleteHappy Memorial Day, hope the fireworks aren't too bad. You sure did well financially on this trip.
ReplyDeleteOnly one guy for about 15 minutes last night with fireworks. Maybe folks have finally realized that sending several hundred dollars up in smoke just to hear loud noises is pretty stupid. Cause most of what goes off around here is not the fireworks display but just loud bomb noises.
DeleteThat's too bad about your horrible night! We will be starting our trip this fall in Barcelona (much more expensive hotel!), so I'm looking forward to your next post. ☺
ReplyDeleteSo was traveling by train kind of a pain in the keister? We're thinking of doing a train tour through wine country in California this fall.
ReplyDeleteI've seen videos of that train tour and would love to do it. I've traveled to Utah and back on Amtrak. Totally different than the trains in Europe way back when. I hope to do the western Canada trains next year. We traveled second class in compartments that held six people. Always at night to save money. That's what works when you are young and on a budget.
DeleteWell I'll let you know if we get to do the train trip!
