Though sometimes the 'Golden Years' seem more like tarnished brass, they are not the end of adventure. I invite you to follow me as I enjoy my days as a full-time life observer. I'll cover life, travel, food, gardening, whatever crosses my path.

I grew up in the generation of hiding under the school desk during air-raid drills and fearing that the Russians were coming...or worse. This was just so amazing to see. And I think the movies like to make it look scary.
a friend of mine visited Russia in January - it was like out of Dr Zhivago with snow and furs. Very impressive and foreboding. She said the people were really nice.

Big place. At least the communists weren't stupid like the ISIS bunch who are destroying ancient artifacts.
