What is Wrong with This Picture?
Today is November 21. The sun is shining. That's the good news.
What is wrong with the picture is that there is snow on everything. The temperature is twenty degrees Fahrenheit. I've cleared my driveway of snow three times already.
I don't think any birds will be drinking in the birdbath. Now, in order to cover it for the season, I'll have to scrape out the snow and ice.
It is bitterly cold here with a prediction of freezing rain. Apparently, they are already predicting that they will run out of road salt before the year ends. I guess we will all become home-bound when that happens.
I never did get around to cleaning up everything in the yard for the year. Guess it will have to wait until next spring. Which, at this point, seems like a very long way off.
Forget dreaming about a white Christmas, It seems almost guaranteed.

Don't know about you, but here the sun is shining and our roads are now totally clear, round here anyway. We are supposed to get some freezing rain in the morning which would be bad if the snow was still on the roads, as it is it should disappear quickly. Even so, glad we don't live in Buffalo.
ReplyDeleteI cannot even imagine what the folks in Buffalo are going through.
DeleteI'm still in my trying to be cheerful about winter mode. It's been cold but sunny and so far very tolerable. I may lose my outlook when I hear the words freezing rain.
ReplyDeleteYesterday was like a day in April. Rained most of the day with a temp of 50. Snow forecast for tomorrow. I really hate winter.
DeleteWe got snow and today it is basically gone and the temp is up. Tomorrow up to 14C! The next day -2-I hate that when it varies so much. Southern Buffalo really got hit so I hope they can work their way out of it and have little flooding
ReplyDeleteSame situation here with more snow on the way. Have to go out later today to check the water situation in the yard. It poured rain most of the evening and night.
