I have been going through old photos that I took and probably planned to blog about. I have lots of those, lol. I came across these when I was trying to see if I had any pictures of a lovely summer sky. Ah, to be back in July. I awoke at 6:00 AM and saw that the outdoor thermometer said zero degrees F. This should be our last day of frigid cold. We are supposed to hit the 20's tomorrow.
Here is that sky looking east. The photos were taken within one minute.
Though sometimes the 'Golden Years' seem more like tarnished brass, they are not the end of adventure. I invite you to follow me as I enjoy my days as a full-time life observer. I'll cover life, travel, food, gardening, whatever crosses my path.

Mother Nature Playing Tricks
A little after nine in the evening last Friday, I was walking through my living room and was amazed at the sunlight coming through the window. But how was that possible? The window faces east.
I grabbed the camera and went out on the deck to take these pictures of the eastern sky.
These two photos were taken within a minute of each other. The storm clouds to the north, seen below, were moving through.
Alas, we saw none of the rain in my neighborhood. Despite the forecasts, I did not get rain until early this morning. And it really poured down later this morning.
I am not an expert at all in matters relating to the sky, but my guess is that 'sunshine' was due to the moon rising. A neighbor said it was absolutely beautiful on Saturday night. I was too busy complaining to the Police Dept about two fireworks shows to notice.
