Though sometimes the 'Golden Years' seem more like tarnished brass, they are not the end of adventure. I invite you to follow me as I enjoy my days as a full-time life observer. I'll cover life, travel, food, gardening, whatever crosses my path.
I loved Judy's show and I followed Barbra from her early days. I too have all her albums from back then. I forgot they did that song together until I went looking for that livelier version.
I liked both versions, for different reasons. The 1930's vibe on on hand...hearing Barbra and Judy singing and that 1963 style sailor shirt Barbra was wearing, on the other hand. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
I like the older livelier version best.
ReplyDeleteI like the livelier one too.
DeleteDidn't realize Barbra Steisland and Judy Garland did a song together.

DeleteI had seen the first video. Both great. And appropriate!
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased you posted the Judy/Barbra video - what a clever arrangement of the song! I'm off to play it again!
ReplyDeleteHi Denise - great to hear the Judy/Barbra video - fun to hear a blast from the past ... and fun to look back to 1963 ... take care - Hilary
ReplyDeleteI love both versions. They are great and I saw the Judy Garland one on her show when it was reshown on PBS a few years back.
ReplyDeleteI am glad everyone has enjoyed the music.
