Dead Horse Point
I promised pictures from my trip out west and so here are some photos from Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah. Situated 2000 feet above the Colorado River, some of the views are just incredible. In the 1800's cowboys would corral wild horses on the narrow point in order to catch them. Enjoy.

Simply stunning. What a wonderful place to visit
ReplyDeleteWow - if it looks this good in photos, I bet it’s even more magnificent in person!
ReplyDeleteUtah is a favorite destination for my husband and me. I could gaze at those beautiful red rocks forever. Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteYou were only 280 miles from us! You should have stopped in! :) It's beautifully barren there, isn't it...
ReplyDeleteI started in Salt Lake and worked my way down the state. Gorgeous views!
DeleteWhat an incredible place. Not sure how come I missed these posts of yours Denise. Sorry.
ReplyDeleteHi Denise - no wonder it's called Dead Horse Point ... amazing geography ... great trip - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Years ago, we were in Moab and Arches National Park, though not here. Rugged and gorgeous country.
ReplyDeleteThis was an extra that our guide threw in. Glad we took the detour.
