Though sometimes the 'Golden Years' seem more like tarnished brass, they are not the end of adventure. I invite you to follow me as I enjoy my days as a full-time life observer. I'll cover life, travel, food, gardening, whatever crosses my path.
Charlie seems absolutely thrilled with the tiger. How old is he now? Never been to a State Fair and although I saw that movie years ago, I got a copy in a bunch of movies and tried to watch it. Thought it was dreadful. Tastes change I guess.
Charlie is three now. I agree the movie is pretty bad, but I always thought the song lyric was catchy. I am not sure if I ever saw the original version of the movie. Maybe it is better.
Ah, it's a grand night for singing! I've been to the NY State Fair two out of the last three years (mainly to see Peter Noone and Herman's Hermits perform) but I wasn't able to get there this year. They are so much fun! One day I hope to have a "best bud" to go to the fair with. It's only a bit more than an hour away! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
For many years the fair was held about five miles down the road from where I lived off 8 Mile (yep, the road made famous by Eminem). Now it is held at a large showplace center about ten minutes away from my home. Very convenient.
It is not like the fair I remember from many years ago. We do not have the agricultural state we once had. Growing up, my folks had chickens and rabbits in the city. Now you have to fight with local authorities to have any farm animals.

DeleteThat last picture is so perfect! Bet it made the whole day worth it!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Your grandboy is so adorable and so cute. I bet he loved going to this fair and seeing all the animals. Yes, the original film is much better

DeleteThat bull looks quite a beast! I'm guessing your state fair is similiar to our South of England Aricultural Show here.
