Welcome Kermit

I hear them, but I never see them.  Tree frogs, small toads, large toads - yes.  Green frogs?  Never saw one in my yard in all the years I have lived here.  But yesterday, in between rain drops, I went out to take some pictures of the flowers and this 'thing' flashed by in front of me.  What was that?  Well, it was a green frog.  And here he is.

  1. Living in a swamp we get all sorts of frogs and toads. My husband often hand raises some, as he is now.

    1. I live on a park with a stream and wetland. My boys used to go down and catch frogs, but never saw them in the yard before.

    1. My son was shocked that he would have made it up here to the garden. It's quite a trek from the creek.

  4. Don't you love surprises in the garden? I think he is a handsome prince.

    1. I finally meet Prince Charming and he's green. Not that there's anything wrong with being green. But I'd prefer the color on currency.

  5. I love frogs. We get them every year except this year. WE called him Kermit and he hung around for 2 years. Maybe he died.

  8. My friend has a toad living in the cellar of his pub. It really is tame! It's been there years - we assume it's the same one, but then they do tend to look alike!

    1. I've had issues with toads on the front porch. They like the shade, but I am always afraid they will hop inside. I should do a post about the toad my son was keeping in his desk drawer until it got out and was hopping around tge house.
