Little Leaf Linden - Ah the Sweet Smell of Summer

After weeks of dire predictions of rain and wind and nothing happening, we finally got rain and wind.  Lots of rain in fact.  I have watched clouds roll by to the north and south whilst watering my yard.  This morning I went out to get the newspaper in between the raindrops and this wonderful aroma assaulted my nostrils.  The little leaf lindens were blooming.  Enjoy the photos.  Alas, I do not have smellovision.

A bee, undaunted by rain, enjoys the nectar too

  2. Your lindens are blooming. Ours can't be far beyond. Certain neighborhoods in Binghamton are full of them. Heaven! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  3. Wish I could enjoy the aroma too. Rain refreshes everything doesn't it?

  6. I just absolutely love trees! Hubby just found out he is allergic to every tree, every grass. We live on his old family home-site nestled next to the Jack Gore Baygall unit of the Big Thicket National Preserve. I asked if he wanted to move to an apartment in a concrete city, he looked at me like I had lost my mind.

    1. I understand his pain. I was living in this house when my tree and grass allergy was first diagnosed. You learn to live with it and hope for the best.
