After weeks of dire predictions of rain and wind and nothing happening, we finally got rain and wind. Lots of rain in fact. I have watched clouds roll by to the north and south whilst watering my yard. This morning I went out to get the newspaper in between the raindrops and this wonderful aroma assaulted my nostrils. The little leaf lindens were blooming. Enjoy the photos. Alas, I do not have smellovision.
A bee, undaunted by rain, enjoys the nectar too
Yes, I love that fragrance as well.
ReplyDeleteYour lindens are blooming. Ours can't be far beyond. Certain neighborhoods in Binghamton are full of them. Heaven! Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tree.
ReplyDeleteWish I could enjoy the aroma too. Rain refreshes everything doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteI never knew what that tree was. LOVE your yard.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sad that I can't enjoy the fragrance too! What a lovely tree.
ReplyDeleteI just absolutely love trees! Hubby just found out he is allergic to every tree, every grass. We live on his old family home-site nestled next to the Jack Gore Baygall unit of the Big Thicket National Preserve. I asked if he wanted to move to an apartment in a concrete city, he looked at me like I had lost my mind.

I understand his pain. I was living in this house when my tree and grass allergy was first diagnosed. You learn to live with it and hope for the best.
DeleteSo pretty! I'm not sure what they smell like, but I imagine it's heavenly :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful and I don't know the smell but wish I did.
ReplyDeleteI could smell it from just looking at the pictures! Delightful
