An A to Z Bonus

This is my third year participating in the A to Z Challenge.  I have seven posts left to write.  I also have this nagging at the back of my mind about themes.

Ever since my first A to Z, I have thought about doing a theme around one of my favorite authors.  But, since I have no pictures of my own to use, never having traveled to Middle-Earth, I have decided that at the end of each A to Z post, I will mention either a character, event, or a place from the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, rather than trying to do a full post each day with nothing but words.

I have made a list of the first thing that popped into my head for each letter.  I did not want to over think as I would never have been able to choose.

If you are a Tolkien fan you may ask why I picked what I did, but remember, I said 'the first thing'.  If you have never read Tolkien, or only seen movies about the War of the Rings and the Hobbits, then you will likely still recognize my choices.  If you are completely devoid of any knowledge on the subject, perhaps these fantasy characters will peak your interest.

There are over 20,000,000 video results for 'lord of the rings', so you should have no problem finding something to explain what I am talking about, lol.

    1. Well it will just be a bonus at the end of each travel post, but it may generate some interest in reading his works.

    1. Oh, nothing at all clever. Just going to do a postscript like I did last year with my bucket list.

  5. Love Tolkein! I see the books and movies as separate entities (especially for The Hobbit), but love both. :) That'll be a nice little bonus (as you say) to see at the end of every post. :)

  6. I'm stopping by on my way down the A to Z Challenge list and I'm thrilled to see your choice of theme. I'm a massive Tolkien geek.

I'll definitely stop by during the challenge to see what you're posting about. :-)

    1. Hope you won't be disappointed. It will be just a small bonus at the end of each day's travelogue. I've got everything written up and so glad to be done, lol.
