Back in May I visited Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford, Illinois. Before the trip was arranged, I had never even heard of them. They are absolutely exquisite. If you are in the area, I highly recommend taking a few hours for your visit. Here are some photos (more later this month) for a serene Sunday.
This is one long 'path of discovery' with beautiful views around every turn.
Beautiful. The Japanese really know how to create a garden of contemplation and serenity. You could certainly sit and listen to the rocks growing in such surroundings.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place.
