Unlike the Grand Canyon or Bryce Canyon, this time you enter at the bottom of the canyon and look up. And oh what vistas await you. Canyon walls rise 2000 - 3000 feet in the air.
The canyon was carved over millions of years by the Virgin River. You can navigate the park by car or by riding the park's shuttle buses. There are over 100 miles of walking and hiking trails. Be sure to take the Riverside Walk to the Narrows and the Emerald Pools Trail.

Interesting park, reminds me a bit of Ouimet Canyon in Ontario, very impressive but one never hears about it.
