Turkeys. This has become a common occurrence over the last few years. So much so, that this year I participated in the turkey count run by the state. Just a little over a mile from my home you can see dozens upon dozens of turkeys nesting in the trees. Yesterday they flew into the back yard to feast on the highbush cranberries. Enjoy.
What a sight! ☺ They must be fun to watch. I have never seen a live turkey in person.
ReplyDeleteWell, I certainly prefer them to the dirty geese! Last year a pair showed up with 16 chicks. Just a family out for a Sunday outing, lol.
DeleteI don't see wild turkeys all that often but my late mother in law, who lived just north of New York City, used to have them in her yard all the time. I enjoyed watching them when I visited. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThey have been showing up several times a week. Had ten in the front yard yesterday. They gave me the eye when I went out to get the trash bins.
DeleteI've only ever seen turkeys on a farm - or in a butchers shop - but never in the wild! Great pictures, Denise.
ReplyDeleteMy family showed up for Thanksgiving dinner a few years ago and were greeted by the turkeys. The family was questioning the source of dinner, lol.
