I wasn't even going to do this, but yesterday I went outside and the smell of the Korean Spice Viburnum was so overwhelming I had to go grab the camera, even though you cannot enjoy the wonderful aroma.
.
We had three inches of rain on Saturday and the garden is very green, so these few blooms really stand out.
Yay! Blooms!
ReplyDeleteYay us right, but we got more rain overnight.
DeleteI could almost smell them from here! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou are having a beautiful spring. Your photos are great.
ReplyDeleteMany of these are blooming where I live, too. I wish I had a Korean spice viburnum-saw one the other day. It’s a spectacular year for them. I enjoyed your “few” blooms; after your harsh weather they must be so welcome. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteSuch delightful blooms! Love Korean Spice Viburnum - oh that fragrance. Happy GBBD!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty blooms! Three inches of rain is quite a lot indeed! I think we would "drown" here if we got that much at one time.

We are drowning and we didn't get the worst of it. Even more rain further south.
DeleteThose little blue flowers by the pavers are lovely. What are the pink/red ones in the last picture. My bleeding hearts didn't survive this winter. Must have a shelf life on 'em...
ReplyDeleteMy new crabapple tree survived and is waiting to open. I lost my Michelmas daisies. The little blue ones are forget-me-nots.
DeleteGorgeous! Most are unidentifiable to me since we don't have those plants here. Enjoy your rain and the new blossoms.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful! you take great pics. What are those pretty blue flowers?
ReplyDeleteForget-me-nots. They grow like crazy and spread all over.
DeleteI love forget-me-nots. None of the seeds I tried winter sowing grew, none. I'll certainly try again, anything that so freely self-seeds should be easy for me to grow! Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteI have had those plants for over 40 years. My mother gave them to me. This year they are just gorgeous.
DeleteYour bleeding heart plants are so lovely to adore,I have clerodendrum thomsoniae blooming that is hardy to thrive in harsh summers.
