Though sometimes the 'Golden Years' seem more like tarnished brass, they are not the end of adventure. I invite you to follow me as I enjoy my days as a full-time life observer. I'll cover life, travel, food, gardening, whatever crosses my path.

These are such nice pictures and makes me long to go to Europe again. Yes, they are in a bad way and let’s hope no avalanches where people live
ReplyDeleteThere was an avalanche! Saw it on the news last night.
ReplyDeleteI saw a home with snow all over the first floor and a guy standing on the stairs. How awful.
DeleteAvalanches are not funny, not seen anything about it on the news here. That is a classic shot of the Matterhorn.
ReplyDeleteI only saw it because I was watching the BBC news on PBS. I rarely watch news on TV.
DeleteThat mountain is so unique. We love to go to the Tetons up by Jackson, Wyoming. They are very craggy like that, too. They remind me of a dragon's teeth! Or Caradhras, which the Fellowship of the Ring had to pass through!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Happy to send you the video. Please send me your address at my email at cornwallst59@hotmailcom.
ReplyDeleteI am a friend of Pamela's over at https://thewrightsdaysoffun.blogspot.com and I live in Switzerland, so I love this post. Great pictures, and I know you probably spent several days in Zermatt as the Matterhorn likes to hide in fog and clouds.
ReplyDeleteI loved my time in Switzerland. One of my cousins moved to Basel back in the early 70's and has never considered moving back to the states.
DeleteWhat great views Denise. For weeks, all we've had is gale force wind, torrential rain, mud and floods! Oh well.
ReplyDeleteWe have another snow storm on the way. Oh, well, is right.
DeleteThe Matterhorn is amazing. When my wife was in college her father worked in Geneva for a couple of years and she would visit them in summer and during the holidays.
ReplyDeleteYes, the Matterhorn is quite spectacular and I have the dozens of photos to prove it.
