Though sometimes the 'Golden Years' seem more like tarnished brass, they are not the end of adventure. I invite you to follow me as I enjoy my days as a full-time life observer. I'll cover life, travel, food, gardening, whatever crosses my path.
It was a nice trip, but next time we are going in the day, not night. It was very windy and very cold. When we left on Sunday, the sun was shining and it looked like the perfect day for a train ride.
That looks like fun and I bet Charlie was thrilled. There is a train that cruises Ontario (maybe Canada not sure) which is covered in Christmas lights and is quite exciting to see. Don't think you can ride on it though. We saw it once a couple or so years ago.
I've ridden the train from Windsor to Toronto. I really want to ride the Rocky Mountaineer to Alberta. I have ridden many trains, but not nearly enough.
This train is up in Owosso, MI. I have a magnet with a picture of the Chicago El and my grandson keeps saying that he and I are going on the train to Chicago to ride it.
I love steam trains!!!
ReplyDeleteSo does my grandson. I have trains all over my house, lol.
DeleteHe's adorable, Denise - that look of wonder! ♥️

DeleteVery cool! There's a fantastic old train museum, with a working steam engine you can ride, in Union IL, about 90 minutes from Chicago.
