Though sometimes the 'Golden Years' seem more like tarnished brass, they are not the end of adventure. I invite you to follow me as I enjoy my days as a full-time life observer. I'll cover life, travel, food, gardening, whatever crosses my path.
That stack of corn wouldn't last long at my house. We gave up on ornamental corn several years ago because it became a squirrel buffet. We even have to trim the corn off the corn stalks we buy and decorate with. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
Lots of great corn represented there.

Now that’s an earful!
ReplyDeleteOuch!!!
DeleteI've often wondered, is that kind of corn edible?
ReplyDeleteI have no idea. Good question.
DeleteStunning picture Denise, and I love all the colours in the corn. Corn is such a great symbol of harvest time.
ReplyDeleteSure looks pretty.
DeleteBeautiful. Are you going to keep them from the squirrels?
ReplyDeleteI saw them at the apple orchard up in Hartland. I gave up growing veggies years ago thanks to rabbits and groundhogs.
DeleteI thought corn only came in yellow! I learn something every day.
ReplyDeleteI Googled and discovered that it is called Indian corn and is used in making masa for tacos and tortillas. Most just grow it for decoration though.
DeleteNow we've both learned something new. Not quite sure what masa is, will Google.
DeleteGreat photo! You have captured autumn perfectly!
ReplyDeleteLove this picture. Indian corn is always a favorite!
