I have two snowdrift crabapple trees in my yard. They have been here for 44 years. They struggle through each year and I am always thinking it is their last. This year we had a very mild winter and the blooms are gorgeous. I've been taking pictures of one of them each day. Today they are predicting 2-4 inches of rain and I am guessing if that happens there will be no more flowers. So, enjoy these blooms with me while we wait for rain.
We're supposed to get big storms today too, hope to mow the lawn before it happens.
ReplyDeleteMowed the lawn yesterday, but it was still wet from prior rains.
DeleteThose trees are beautiful. Pity the blossoms don't last very long.
ReplyDeleteThis is day ten since buds first appeared so I'm not complaining.
DeleteThey are absolutely beautiful and very heavily laden with blossom. They also look lovely when they cover the ground - just like snow!

Gorgeous trees. I have been seeing them bloom all over town!
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful! Enjoy them while they last, then plant more. Our neighbors' pink crab just fell over in a recent storm.
ReplyDeleteI used to have the most beautiful Yoshino cherry. One year an ice storm broke it in two.
DeleteYour blooms are gorgeous. Hope you are getting to enjoy them a bit longer.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful trees. Don't recall ever seeing these types of trees here in my part of California. I love that they have the flowery show.
ReplyDeleteJust a tree, You say...hahahahahaaaa. Beautiful!
