We planted that tree 43 years ago. It lost a leader in an ice storm, but still kept going. I love to just stare up at it when the sky is blue and the branches are bare.
The last few! Winter is late here. Lots of leaves on trees.

We had lots of wind yesterday and now we have lots of leaves on the ground. The birches were the first trees to drop leaves.
DeleteOddly enough we seem to have lots of leaves on the ground and still lots more on the trees.
