Speaking of BIG Animals

Here is a photo I took on a trip to Yellowstone.  I was in a van and there walking on the side of the road was as close as I ever want to get to a bison.

Well, maybe a better shot as we drove alongside:
Here is the rest of him as we kept on driving:

I can't imagine why anyone would open a window to get a better picture of something this large, yet folks do get gored by these animals every year when they get OUT of their cars.  DUH!

  1. It's 'cos he looks so lovely and huggable Denise, of course he wouldn't hurt you. Nor would the lions in the parks, they are in parks so they've got to be tame surely.

Actually before I opened this I thought you were going to report you'd had him visiting your back yard LOL

    1. LOL. Be just My luck! No, that 10-point buck in the back yard was enough for me.

  2. Woah! That is super, super close!! I wouldn't want to get that close, even for the photo opportunity! At least he seemed relaxed and not all that interested in your car.

    1. I guess he had already had breakfast! A guide told us our van wouldn't have had a chance if he charged.
