Not Just Any Sunday

When I woke up this morning, I remembered that it is Father's Day.  I also remembered that my son and his wife are going golfing and I get to spend the day with my favorite little man, Charlie.

When I logged on to my computer and went to look up something on Google, I saw this Google Doodle.

Happy Father's Day!

How cute is this?  (Where's the bunny?)

Then I started checking the blogs I follow for new posts.  Destiny's Child told me that today is International Yoga Day.  Well, seems my yoga instructor forgot to mention that yesterday.  Though I guess it is not a big celebration here in the USA.

I have many reasons to celebrate yoga.  It has done so much for my strength, balance and mobility.  I am amazed sometimes at what I can do.  I do know that without my practice I would not be able to take care of an active little toddler.

Later this afternoon, I'll be grilling some chicken and sharing dinner with family.

It looks to be a fun day, Sunday, and hopefully the threat of rain will hold off.  Yes, today is the first day of summer.  Someone should speak to Mother Nature and tell her to get with the calendar.  We've had Spring for months now. And we've had more than enough rain!

Enjoy your day whether you are celebrating Dad, yoga or Summer (or Winter if you are in the Southern Hemisphere).

  1. I hope you enjoy yours. I just saw that doodle. It really is cute. Especially the little wolf who falls over after trying to howl. Yes, there should be a bunny.

Have a great day with your grandson. Not a great day here yet either.

    1. I loved the wolf too. They are quite the topic here in Michigan as they are disappearing from Isle Royale.

  2. Enjoy the day which seems to be carrying a mixed bag of tricks weather wise. Right now it is sunny but it 2 seconds the clouds will move in

    1. One minute it looks like rain and the next the sun is blazing. Guess it is Mother Nature having one of her 'mood swings'.

  3. I didn't know about the doodle-part of today was caregiving related items and part, travel. It was so neat! My Dad has been long gone but I always think of him on Father's Day. The doodle made me smile-thank you. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

  4. It's unseasonably cool and rainy here too. What gives? I can hardly wait to escape to Europe. I hope it's warmer there.

Yoga is one of those things I know I *should* do, but I've never really enjoyed it. I probably should give it another try one of these days...

    1. You have to find the right instructor and area of study. I've tried yoga with several people and would not be doing it if I had to practice with some of them. My gal is great.
