A To Z is Harder than I Thought it Would Be

I am still working on my blogs for next month.  As the title of this post says, it is harder than I thought it would be.  Deciding what to write about was the easy part.  Actually writing, not so much.

Most of my blog posts are spur of the moment when I have something I feel compelled to say.  I try to post three blogs a week, but that varies greatly.  Having a topic ahead of time and then trying to come up with 500 words about it, 500 words someone may want to read no less, is kinda like having a job.  I feel like Maynard Krebs yelling 'Work'.

My hope is that someone reading my blogs next month will be motivated or interested in visiting the places I talk about.  Since pictures are worth a thousand words, I plan to post several for each day.

I've already written my posts for A, B, and C.  Tomorrow I will do D.

I can promise that it will not be about Detroit.  Though I said I would cover places that I have a connection to, I will skip Detroit and Michigan.  Despite having been born in the City, living there for a few years, attending college there, and working in and/or for the city for 13 years, I am just too upset about what has been going on for the last few decades to blog about it.  I hardly think I could say anything that would make anyone want to vacation there.

I have had fun trying to find photos of old trips I've taken.  I did come across some photos of New York City, but not the Christmas-time ones I was looking for last year.  And I also found my photos of Manitoulin Island which I blogged about last week.  M is for Manitoulin?  We'll see.

I think all of this is making my wanderlust act up.  I am definitely ready to see some new places.  Or even some old ones that I've been to before.   Where would you like to run off to?

  1. Hello. Just thought I would stop by and give you a wave *wave* and wish you luck for this challenge. Have you managed to plan all your posts now? And have you been anywhere that begins with X?
