Though sometimes the 'Golden Years' seem more like tarnished brass, they are not the end of adventure. I invite you to follow me as I enjoy my days as a full-time life observer. I'll cover life, travel, food, gardening, whatever crosses my path.
There are similar tributes all over France, Belgium and Holland many of which I have seen and they are, very moving. Of course there are similar tributes to the British troops, Australians and all the many other nations who took part.
Very moving and fitting to view these memorials today. Thank you for sharing something I'd have never seen otherwise. Barbara, blogging at Life & Faith in Caneyhead
That's a lovely tribute to Memorial Day. Neat to see the American memorials overseas. Cheers - Ellen | http://thecynicalsailor.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThe tribute inscribed inside the Bastogne Memorial is very moving.

All great tributes to those who served and paid the price with their lives.

Wonderful tribute page you did today.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and tribute. We also were able to travel to Normandy and see those memorials.
ReplyDeleteThat one picture of the white crosses took my breath away.
ReplyDeleteA moving tribute. Canada's Day of remembrance is on November 11th, when I believe Americans have Veterans Day? Sadly, we have only the one per year.
ReplyDeleteThere are several memorials to Canadian soldiers in this area also.

ReplyDeleteI am so far behind in reading posts I may never catch up. Lots of tributes during May in this area of Europe celebrating their liberation in WW II.
