June 13, 1969 Rome, Italy

We have a busy day as we are trying to make up for lost time.  Since it is close by we visit the Trevi Fountain.  I had a photo that looked much like this one.

I like this view of the area.

Then of course, the Spanish Steps.

We visited the Pantheon, completed in 126 A.D.

When you consider when it was built, it is just incredible.
Next up is the Piazza Navona and the Fountain of the Four Rivers.

And that was just the morning.  In the afternoon we went to the Villa Borghese and saw the gardens.

Then we visited the zoo which is on the northern part of the estate.

A long day and dinner with wine at the hotel.  We are beat.  Expenses $6.64.

  5. Wow...how the prices have gone up. Loving these photos you found and share with us on what you saw. It is amazing how that dome was built and withstood so much over the centuries

    1. It's amazing what we can do in our youth. Of course, many places in Rome are near each other.
