Dressing Like a Queen and Her Court on Naboo

My thought looking at most of these gowns was "How did they survive under the lights?'

I loved that the designer was unsatisfied with this gown, crumpled up the paper, realized he had to show George Lucas something, uncrumpled the paper, and the idea of the crumpled material was born.

I'd even settle for one of the simple handmaiden gowns.  Not sure how I would get anything done, but they sure look good.

  1. I wonder how heavy they are... Or is the material very light-weight?

    1. Surprising that many of these were designed by the same man.

  4. My favorite is the sixth from the top, with the elaborate headdress. I think there should be matching his and her outfits for most of these gowns.

    1. No reason a guy couldn't wear one. Though I imagine fighting might be a problem.

  5. Some great outfits from the Met Gala...hahaaaa. No, I know it is Star Wars and love these outfits. Love the story about the crinkled paper resulting in this outfit. I love the 2nd last one with the feathered headdress. Yes, They get very hot in these outfits which results in them being fanned etc... between shots. The cameras etc... are much better now than they were decades ago.
