It's Ba-a-a-a-ack

One day I'm cleaning up the yard the next I am knee deep in snow.  Misery loves company so I thought I would share the view from my home this morning.

 Before sunrise

 At sunrise

A birch branch that couldn't hold on

 My dogwood bent in half
Pretty view

  1. We got hit as well and it really is so pretty actually. I couldn't believe some of the trees and bushes how beautiful it looked. We got slammed but Toronto and Hamilton didn't get much so we must have been right in its path. Apparently there was lightening and thunder! Now, my hubby is upset because our butterfly bush looks like it took a beating. From your garden knowledge, will it be ok?

    1. You are asking someone who has planted several butterfly bushes only to lose them every time. For some reason they do not like my yard. But I planted another one last year, lol. I'll let you know how that turns out.

  2. Snow is very photogenic in pictures. I like to look at them. Glad we have no real snow in my neck of the woods.

  3. We didn't get that much here, it was gone quite quickly yesterday. I guess we were luckier than Birgit, she is about two hours or so away from me so it must have hit her and passed us. Love the pictures though, it does look so pretty.

  4. Deadly beauty. You have more snow than us (from looking at those pictures) but the Weather Channel ended up livecasting feet from where I work. That was a bit scary. Our scenery looks a lot like yours do. Maybe I'll post some pictures today.

    1. Some areas have about eight inches of snow, depending on how the wind was blowing. I lost one big branch off my birch tree, but the dogwood seems to have recovered. Saw lots of tree damage yesterday while running errands.

  5. Beautiful (if not wet and heavy!) pictures, Denise. You have a little creek running through your yard?

    1. Right now I do. Very high water table here. There is a small branch of the Rouge River in the open area behind me. Mostly dry except when we have heavy rains.

  6. Wonderful scenes Denise - best viewed from indoors! It's very rare for us in the UK to get snow like that, but last week we did! Sadly (?) I missed it, as I mentioned above my latest post!

    1. A friend of mine called from Florida to tell me how nice the weather is there. I did not thank her for the call, lol.

  7. We missed that storm but we may be getting a couple of inches tonight. I feel sorry for the Birch.

    1. A few years ago I lost its sister tree thanks to some really heavy snow. Yesterday I heard the tree cutters up on the main road removing a tree that came down in the roadway.

  8. OMG!! That is so pretty! It must be lovely to wake up to these views daily :-) The golden tree tops are wonderful! But then, I am not the one having to shovel snow out of the pathways or yard..

    1. The views are lovely as long as I do not have to leave my home.
