Easter Dinner in the Planning Stages

Easter is coming soon and I will be cooking for my family.  As has been my custom, here is the menu.  I have provided links to the recipes where possible.

Crab Salad
Smoked Salmon
Deviled Eggs

While I have made my own pickled salmon in the past, I am opting to buy smoked salmon this year.  Much easier.  And my recipe for the crab salad is one I received a gazillion years ago from The Pier Restaurant in Harbor Springs, Michigan, so I may post it in the future.

Are you busy planning an Easter or Passover dinner?

  1. Sounds delicious! :) Somehow, that cooking gene skipped a generation in my case. We go to the local Italian Club for a Good Friday seafood feast. That's about the extent of it for us. Bon Appetit!

    1. I grew up in a family of caterers and professional bakers, but the big didn't bite me until about 20 years ago.

  2. Am I invited? The pork with fig sauce and goat cheese with hazelnuts sounds heavenly.

    1. As I told Jason above, the more the merrier. The door is open and I have plenty of room.

  4. We do passover at our house and yes, there is planning. It always sneaks up on me and the husband keeps trying to pin me down on the planning - finally I noticed it will be here soon...I have to get cracking this week. I also will do a small easter dinner for my grown children, so we can just get together and hang out. :-)

    1. I always plan way ahead. But then I have done nearly every holiday meal for the last 44 years.
