One Bloomin' Season Comes to a Close

I am already putting away summer and getting ready for winter.  With the leaves falling and colors changing, we are expecting a frost this weekend.  I thank you for sharing my garden with me this year and leave you with some lovely fall colors.

Viburnum

Maple leaves

Katsura Tree

Houttuynia

Maples in a neighbor's yard

Golden leaves on a white birch

Sedum Daphne, the last one to bloom

Limelight hydrangea - I'll leave the blooms on for the winter

Till next year.  I'll keep the light on for you.

  1. Beautiful Autumn color!
You don't have to say good-bye until next year - garden indoors! A Christmas cactus or other blooming houseplant will be lovely to show for Bloom Day in the Winter.

    1. You are right. I used to have many orchids blooming in winter. And azaleas. With a grandson in the house I've cut way back on indoor plants. We'll see what happens.

  3. This is such a nice thing to see-Love the Maple trees. It is so beautiful right now. You must be happy with your garden..I would be ....except for all the work but it shows how much you love it! A friend of mine has a picture of a flower and she has no idea what it is. I wonder how I could send that to you so you could tell me?

    1. So many leaves have fallen today with so much wind. Send the pic along and I'll see what I think it is.

    2. I limp GBBD along all year, although usually by March I am really scraping the bottom of the flower barrel, so to speak. African violets are easy - perhaps buy a couple in bloom and see what happens. They are non toxic, too.

  4. Lovely colours. Saw a few flowers out in various gardens this afternoon. Especially some yellow ones which I have no id for. I was surprised to see them because everything is so autumnal now. The wind today was really knocking the leaves off and the place is absolutely covered. Glad I don't have to deal with them LOL
