Idiocy. Complete Idiocy.

You all know how I feel about fireworks in the hands of anyone but professionals.  So, rather than go on a rant about how the law needs to be changed because it disturbs my sleep every night, because the State shouldn't make burning down homes and blowing oneself up so easy, you can read this story here.

Yesterday I helped my son with some landscaping chores at his house.  Middle of the afternoon and someone is setting off fireworks.  Illegal but who cares.

If you live in this state and haven't signed a petition to ban fireworks, now is your chance.

  1. There was a huge crack outside our windows (5th Floor) yesterday. Matt said it was a gunshot but I think now some idiot had a firework. Canada Day tomorrow so no doubt the "fun" will start tonight.

    1. They do not allow private use in British Columbia. Was so nice to be there one year for the holiday.

  2. That's scary. My biggest issue with our neighbourhood is barking dogs. Drives me crazy!

    1. Barking dogs used to be a problem. Doesn't seem so bad up against the noise of fireworks at all hours.

  3. Oh I am so with you and so is my hubby. He told me they are banned in Alberta but in Ontario everyone sells them. I hate them with a passion. They are not the magical kind one sees in the big cities. They are stupid useless "pops" that upset my doggie and I worry about my house. What I find stupefying is watching little 5 year old kids have these crackers in their hand. I hate them

    1. Did you read the link? What if it was a child who held up the lit firecracker and not the adult? Would that get anyone's attention?
